They Grow Up in a Blink of an Eye

They Grow Up in a Blink of an Eye
Ephemeral for The Sunday Challenge.

A blink of the eye is ephemeral, it does not last long. I caught this bird mid-blink.

Children grow up very fast, especially if you are a bird. This juvenile Magpie is at that awkward stage but will not be there for long. Soon the tail feathers will be long and the fuzzy white feathers will be smooth and sleek.

Two examples in one for the word ephemeral, this week's Sunday Challenge.

Great capture - Magpies are colourful birds if looked at closely, most people think they are just B&W. HFF
