The object flying above the north drain on the Somerset levels in the evening sunlight is unknown to me although I vaguely remember a helecopter in the area but what ever it was it had little effect on the swan population.

Anyway the photo is wonderful. A long time ago I was very interested in these topics. If the universe is infinite, there should be infinite civilizations and we would have been visited infinite times but we do not have a nanogram of junk or alien genetic material . It's probably a helicopter or a hang glider. Have a nice Sunday Roger.

Hi Roger,

Just to colour the picture a little, we had the police helicopter out over the field this afternoon looking for a 'missing person'. When I first saw it in the sky it was exactly that shape, and it reminded me so much of your pictures!
