Looking upstream from the bridge at Myrtle Creek, Oregon, just off Interstate-5. This picture fits the more usual stereotypes of Oregon views! The Umpqua rises in the Cascades, near Crater Lake, and flows more-or-less west to the Pacific.

Off the Truckee River Trail in the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation, Nevada. The Truckee rises from the overflow from Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada, and ends at landlocked Pyramid Lake, flowing thru Reno, NV along the way. The Truckee River Trail is intended eventually to follow the river along its entire length, but there are still gaps at present due to landowner issues. In the Reservation, the trail at first follows an old railroad grade, veering off eventually to go down to Pyramid Lake. You can buy an online parking permit from the tribe to hike or bike on the parts of the trail that are on the Rez. Just leave the permit on your dashboard.

Ich hänge zur Zeit ziemlich hinterher, was das hochladen von Fotos angeht, da andere Dinge bei mir gerade eine höhere Priorität benötigen. Aber damit hier überhaupt mal wieder was neues zu sehen ist, lade ich euch jetzt meine Versuche hoch, den "Blutmond" zu fotografieren. Ich wäre da gerne näher heran gegangen (mehr gab die mir zur Verfügung stehende Brennweite aber halt nicht her), oder hätte einen Tick kürzer belichtet (damit die teilweise auch sichtbaren Sterne nicht so verschwommen aussehen und der Himmel etwas dunkler ist), aber auch das ging leider nicht. Zudem wurde es, je früher es in Richtung Morgen ging, immer diesiger.
