Notation: This real photo image depicts the aftermath of the January 1912 fire that destroyed the fire Hall in Kenora, Ontario. This was Kenora's third Fire Hall - its two predecessors had also been destroyed by fire.

Note on the reverse: "Dear Teddie. I think the rest of the boys are leaving to night. But they can not go without B. he laid off this trip. Dad is busy writing he came in at 8:15 went down wrote until noon then started again. and missed a first one by 20 min you know how he would feel don't you?
