Hamburgs Wahrzeichen: Alt und Neu (?)

Bis heute gilt der Kirchturm St. MIchaelis als Markierungspunkt (Wahrzeichen) für alle einlaufenden Schiffe, abe nun würde diesen Platz die Elbphilharmonie übernehmen -sagt man.

Up to now the church tower was the only or the main landmark for incoming ships, but nowadays it is said that the new building will take its place.

So ist es, und es gibt hierzulande jedesmal eine (heftige) Diskussion bei jedem Hochhaus-Neubau, das war bei der ELPHI nicht anders. Einerseits will man die gewohnte, traditionelle Silhouette erhalten, andererseits sind moderne Neubauten gefragt, zumal wenn es ein Hochhaus sein soll -schon aus Platzgründen.

Stimmt Gudrun,

und er drängt sich überall ins Blickfeld, egal von welcher Seite man kommt. Mal sitzt er auf einem Dach, mal hängt er am Kran, dazu bastelte ich vor längerem eine kleine Serie von Michel-Fotos:
