The globe on Vikingen island marks the polar circle.
As with the North Cape which isn't really the northernmost point (that's Knivskjellodden nearby), Vikingen is not directly on the polar circle but was the most convenient place to place the globe.

Das einzige Mal, wo ich kurz vor dem Fische-Füttern stand, war in der Drake Passage Richtung Antarktis- Schiff ohne Stabis und "nur" Windstärke 8- an der norwegischen Küste haben mir 11-12 nichts ausgemacht.
Uiiii, wahnsinn! ;-) Keine ahnung, wie ich mich da fühlen würde!! Ich kenne das nur von mittelmeerfähren und da ist der seegang bestimmt nicht vergleichbar. Jedenfalls ging's mir ok, aber die mitreisenden um mich herum haben eifrig die fische gefüttert...und wenn man das ständig sieht, dann wird's einem auch irgendwann flau im magen. Ich wollte es ja früher nicht glauben, aber ich hab wirklich leute gesehen, die waren grün im gesicht ;-))
Sturm im Mittelmeer soll ziemlich heftig sein, habe ich gehört...
