Comino and Gozo Ferry
Comino is the smallest inhabited island in the Maltese archipelago and lies between Malta and Gozo. St. Mary's Tower was built in 1618 by the knights under grandmaster Wignacourt. The buildings on the left originally served as barracks, later on as quarantine station and hospital.

Comino ist die kleinste bewohnte Insel des maltesischen Archipels, gelegen zwischen Malta und Gozo. St. Mary's Tower wurde 1618 von den Malteserrittern unter Großmeister Wignacourt errichtet. Das langgestreckte Gebäude links diente als Kaserne und später als Quarantänestation/ Krankenhaus.

Mit dieser Fähre hatte ich mal einen Sturm erlebt. Die Wellen kam über den Bug geschlagen. Erst sollte sie gar nicht auslaufen. Die Fahrt wurde dann aber doch freigegeben. Zurück auf Malta kamen wir wg. des Starkregens mit unserem kleinen Miet-Fiat kaum den Berg hinauf. Ein Erlebnis, das sich im Kopf festgefressen hat. Schön, alles bei bestem Wetter zu sehen. ***

Oh ja, da kann es manchmal heftig stürmen, da geht man dann besser nicht an Deck. Ist ja gut, dass ihr's damals doch irgendwie geschafft habt:-)

Vielen Dank, Frank! Ach, das war nur eine kurze Fährüberfahrt, ist schon drei Jahre her. Auf den Geschmack bin ich schon lange gekommen, ich fahre schließlich seit 2012 jedes Jahr mit Hurtigruten;-)

Ja, weiß, schon. Ich meinte, daß Du das Bild gerade jetzt zeigst, wo ich auch ein paar Bilder von der Seereise gezeigt habe. Hast ja bei mir auch kommentiert. Übrigens sehe ich doch jetzt solche Bilder auch aus einem ganz anderen Blickwinkel. - Schöner Effekt. ;-) Übrigens, wenn ich darüber nachdenke, daß das ja gerade mal einen Monat her ist, daß wir zu der Kreuzfahrt aufgebrochen ist ... tztztzzzz ... Wahrscheinlich, weil die Eindrücke derat intensiv und vielfältig waren.

Gozo ist eigentlich viel schöner als die große Insel:-) Auf Comino war ich auch nch nie, aber die Wagenspuren bei Clapham Common habe ich natürlich auch bewundert:-)
