Solche Übergänge kenne ich aus südlichen Ländern, wo damit Wasser in die Stockwerke geleitet wird...

Herzlichen Dank, Udo! Das mit dem Wasser ist ja interessant! Hier sind die offenbar nur aus statischen Gründen da, Lübeck ist auf überwiegend sumpfigem Boden gebaut...

I quite like exploring alleyways and narrow side streets, you never know what you might find.

This one looks quite old, I can see at least one half timbered house down there. I like the worn cobblestones and the warm red of the brickwork. Very nicely observed and taken Gudrun.

I'm guessing the PiP is a shot from the other end as I can see the same half timbered house. It looks like it widens out a bit. It looks like everyone is staring at you taking a photograph!

Thank you, Keith! Yes, many of the houses are really old, the ones from brick with steeped gables sometimes are older than the half timbered ones.
The PiP was further along the road looking back, they waited for me and others to go out of their photo;-)

Das war die Nachhut! Aber die haben gewartet, bis die Vorhut aus dem Bild war...

Für nervöse Fotografen, die warten, bis die Touris endlich aus dem Bild gelatscht sind, sehen sie noch recht entspannt aus ;-)

Die wussten ja, dass sie selber auch oft genug im Bild rumgestanden sind;-)

This is more like that which I expect in Lübeck. Are these arches built to prevent the old buildings from falling into each other? Isn't it a pity that the tag merchants can't leave things alone?

Thanks a lot, Amelia! The run down bar was at the end of this road;-) I guess the arches served to stabilize the buildings as much of Lübeck was built on rather marshy ground. You are so right about tags, I like street art but tags are just stupid.

I love to explore these narrow streets. This one is beautiful and I like the direction of the PiP. It shows interesting and beautiful buildings. I like the cobble stones and the brick arches.
