Værøy

Værøy Island seen from Vestfjorden. Værøy is the second southernmost island of the Lofoten chain (after Røst). It is relatively densely populated (750 inhabitants on 17,5 km²) and is connected to the other islands and to the mainland by regular ferry service.

Værøy vom Vestfjord aus gesehen. Værøy ist die zweitsüdlichste Insel der Lofotenkette (nur Røst liegt noch südlicher). Mit knapp 750 Einwohnern auf 17,5 km² ist Værøy relativ dicht besiedelt und hat regelmässige Fährverbindungen zu den anderen Inseln und zum Festland.

I also have Win7 and usually all Windows updates install themselves automatically. For some reason the latest ones didn't and I get an error...

Herzlichen Dank, Werner! Für nordnorwegische Verhältnisse ist die Insel sogar ziemlich dicht besiedelt, dem Kabeljau sei Dank:-) Dass im Winter mal wegen Sturm der Strom ausfällt oder man ein paar Tage abgeschnitten ist, kommt auch auf dem Festland vor.

Schönen Dank, Uli! Im Osten auf der Festlandsseite blieb es schöner, das Wetter zog von Westen rein wie so oft...Diese goldenen Streifen habe ich in Norwegen schon öfter gesehen, manchmal war's wie mit dem Lineal abgeschnitten.
