Raftsund

Raftsund
Raftsund is a 25km long strait between the islands of Hinnøya (Vesterålen) and Austvågøya (Lofoten). This photo was taken in the southern part with Stormolla island in the background and the hamlet of Digermulen on the left. The inset photo shows the narrowest part of Raftsund which is only 300m wide.

I went on the Hurtigruten journey,too, from Bergen to Nordkapp but we stopped just for a short time on the Lofoten. This is another place I wish to visit again... the Lofoten Isles are said to be one of the best places to see Aurora borealis. This image is just great, with a unique light and sky...thank you for sharing and bringing back sweet memories! :)
