Underground Lines No1 - London 1943 - outside

In these central areas I think that you might find that the street plan has remained much the same. Of course some may have disappeared if a substantial area was flattened during the blitz and the rebuilding took advantage of the cleared site. I have wandered around these streets, especially in my early days in London, and there were lots of alleys, short streets and interesting little squares or gardens.
