Nikon F90X camera - lens forgotten, likewise film. Low resolution CD picture subsequently processed in Lightroom and rendered in B&W chiefly because the colour version was so poor.

This is a new edit of an old photograph which is memorable for being the day I got locked in to the grounds of Lacock Abbey. I recall it was only a few minutes after 5pm but the duty shift was working to rule that evening. It's easy to get out of the Abbey grounds; climbing a fence is all that's involved. I think it was worth the inconvenience to get this sunset. It would be a good idea to sound an alarm at places like this when they are about to close but I suppose that's a bit too obvious. This photograph of a party of visitors assembling outside the cloisters of Lacock Abbey was taken through a window from inside the building using a vintage Chinon 55mm f/1.4 lens on a digital camera. It needed a bit of work in post-processing.

Lacock Abbey. Before Covid, I spent a lot of time here, always finding opportunities for pictures, but I have not visited since 2019. In fact, I have since sold the camera and lens used to make this photograph, and a good many other pieces of kit as well. (Posted 31 October, 2023). Nikon D700 and Nikkor 35-70mm f/2.8 AF lens.

Something to gaze upon as the winter months approach. On a nice bright day it's great to get the depth of field of f/11 aperture.

Scenes of a Wiltshire village one Thursday afternoon in September, 2015. Nikon D2Xs + Nikkor-P 105mm f/2.5 + Nikon Teleconverter TC-16A. The EXIF data shows '134.5 mm' because I set the camera for a 135mm focal length to compensate for using a teleconverter with the 105mm lens. 135mm is, of course, not 105 x 1.6 but it's close enough for metering.

Carl Zeiss Jena 50mm f/2.8 Tessar lens coupled via an adapter to a Canon EOS 20D, all bought secondhand a couple of months before this picture was taken. The processing conceals a misty December day in Lacock.
