Hornsea, 1997 (B&W Edit)

This is the third occasion I have posted a fresh edit of this photograph originally captured on colour negative film in 1997. This version benefits from a fairly robust black and white conversion. Thus far it is the closest I have got it to a state I regard as visually invigorating.

I am quite drawn to this photo as shown here. Don't know if I've seen the other version and don't care because I like this one so much. I do think the high contrast works much to the photo's benefit. The converging lines coming to where the birds are flying is probably more obvious in this version than a color one for sure.

I'd love to have this in my group 'je ne regrette rien' - if you want.

I like not only the contrast of light and shade, but also the razor sharp angles versus the vague, shifting fuzziness of the sky and the out of focus birds.
