Today I met a flock of hens. They dashed over to make my acquaintance. After a while the cock sauntered over to see what was up. He crowed several times to demonstrate his seniority and unashamedly posed for several photographs. They were all quite charmingly sociable. Rather more so than some people whom I have met, in fact.
