Nikon D40 + Nikkor 18-70mm lens at 50mm (equivalent to a field of view of 75mm in a full frame camera). 400 ISO; f/8; 1/250th. Deliberate distortion in Lightroom.

Like the distortion; it adds interest to what could have been just an ordinary picture. (That sounds harsh. The picture is not "ordinary" in any negative or Australian sense.) The labels add interest, too, set against the dried foods.

Just out of interest, did you try to distort it in a concave way too?

Thanks for your comment. I was unaware of the Australian 'ordinary'!
Concave treatment robbed too much of the photograph in the centre. I ike the Nikon D40 but at 6MP there isn't much latitude when cropping or bending. A zoom lens, where you can fill the frame as a first step, is practically essential. I've been using an 18-70mm and that's too short for sure.

To us, "ordinary" means bad. I'm not sure what the antipodean word is for "ordinary" in the proper sense of the word. I might live here now, but sometimes the language is beyond me.
