Sunlit Heritage Camera Bag

Sunlit Heritage Camera Bag
This is not a Billingham bag. It is a bag made by a company established by former Billingham employees. That company no longer exists; it was taken over by CCS who later got out of camera bag manufacturing. Heritage bags were innovative; for example, the opening to the main compartment was Gladstone style and faster in use than the equivalent Three Series bag from Billingham. The Heritage bags are of comparable quality to Billinghams insofar as materials and workmanship go. But all bags have a weakness. Billingham Three Series keep the weather out and keep you out as well: access to the contents can be problematic. Heritage bags overcame that issue but introduced stitched-in side pockets, one of which you can see in the foreground of this photograph. The shoulder strap gets fouled with the zip which sits between the inverted 'V' of the shoulder strap. That happens often and unbalances the bag until you sort out the foul-up as you move. The range would have been better without the side pockets, which aren't that easy to access anyway.

Photographed with a Nikon D2Xs and a Nikkor-P 105mm Auto f/2.5.
