I can't explain why, but this looks perfectly composed and balanced...All the frames, the division of space above and below...the way the pavement becomes a stage...the way the woman in red enters the picture at a ninety degree angle and the way the street behind her adds a new dimension behind the flat street frontage...I could go on...

Thank you for your excellent analytical comment. I must have taken hundreds of photographs that day. I liked some of them immediately, but this was not amongst them. Then, on reviewing that batch, I noticed some of the aspects on which you commented. I liked the symmetry; the coincidence of five passers-by outside a restaurant named simply 'No.5'. It's not tack-sharp, but I like it nonetheless. I am glad that you do too.
