Rivières - Saint-Cybard

A first church was mentioned here already in 1090. Saint-Cybard, parish church of Rivières, replaced that church. It dates from the twelfth century, but got rebuilt and remodeled a couple of times. The choir and the northern transept are Romanesque, while the the western facade is Gothic, dating from ther 16th century. The massive tower got strongly fortified.
