La Rochefoucauld - Couvent des Carmes

The Order of Carmelites settled in 1329 in La Rochefoucauld. The "Couvent des Carmes" and the church were built in the 14th and 15th centuries - in the late gothic period. The buildings suffered durimng the Wars of Religions and got reconstructed in 17th century.

Seen here is the cloister. The convent´s church occupies the southern side of it.
