CD 162 Hemingray glass insulators in service use, Warsaw, Indiana

CD 162 Hemingray glass insulators in service use, Warsaw, Indiana
Alley between E Center St and Market St just east of S Buffalo St, Warsaw, Indiana.

A pole with alley crossarms and wooden pins in downtown Warsaw. Six CD 162 Hemingray 19's on the bottom crossarms. Looks like the multiparts were added later with the steel pins.

Close up of the same pole.

An interesting setup all around!

Say, are you going to Kansas City next weekend?
(Incidentally, I know another collector who lives in that same town)

Thanks! Chronic back pain keeps me from going. Haven't made it to Columbia City and Springfield shows the last year because of my back issues.

That's a bummer with your back issues. Hope you find a way to get the pain under control, and yes, Gene was who I was thinking of. An insulator I picked up from Gene at a Springfield show a few years back was one of a few amber-swirled Star beehives he'd found in an antique store in Coleharbor, ND!!

Excellent find and photo! It is always a pleasure to see aqua glass insulators on wooden pins still in use. Do those insulators support a secondary?

The large HV insulators on the primaries also give these poles lots of character. Do you have any more photos of this line?

Thanks! I'm not sure if they support a secondary or not. Some of the wires look like they're not attached to the glass insulator. I do have more photos of this line.
