It, St. Hughs Choir Lincoln Cathedral, one of the oldest parts it was included in the rebuild of 1192-1210, there is a photo on my page 33, there are quite a few of the cathedral in my photos
How many feet has it taken to wear the step like that

Well captured Peter. It looks as if they don't want anyone to sit on it, - but it looks too uncomfortable to try! It looks really old so maybe it is in need of restoration. HFF and have a good weekend

Peter... I have seen these things.. in Lincoln and elsewhere.. I think they are fold up seats.. known as 'Misericords'...? persons can 'sit' or 'lean' back on the seat.. and it appears as though they are standing...// Have a fine weekend... ;;HFF;; too from David J'.
