On the Higher Poynton run

On the Higher Poynton run
Tilling-Stevens B10A No.249 in the North Western Road Car Company fleet. The bus is all set for a journey to Higher Poynton, but where was the photo taken? The Higher Poynton service was No.32 for many years and ran from Lower Mosley Street Bus Station in Manchester which opened in 1928. There are passengers on board so I wonder whether this was taken in some corner of the Lower Mosley Street site before setting out. The image is from a postcard in the collection of my friend Harold Banks. It also appears in a less clear form in the book "Glory Days - North Western".

David Slater (Spoddendale), have particularly liked this photo

Could it possibly be the same spot as in this photograph taken at Lower Mosley Street in 1968?

Almost certainly the same spot. Thanks for pointing that out.
