Vulcan XM602
Looking into the cockpit of Vulcan XM602 from the navigation seat. Five men were packed into this area for hours whilst on active service. Only the pilots got ejector seats.

This is an exhibit at the new Avro Museum at Woodford which opened last week.

Yes the rest of the crew had to jump through the escape hatch but it could have been worse. I read that the in earlier versions of the B52, to bail out, the rear gunner had to blow off the whole tailplane before jumping!
