Tegenlicht - Backlight
Opdracht was ‘Tegenlicht’.

Challenge was ‘Backlight’.
For this photo I was just in time. The sun was already disappearing behind the houses and also the tulps are past their best. These tulips were put in concrete conainers which were put on the Magere Brug in Amsterdam.
These days this bridge is an important carfree chain in both cycle and tourist traffic which crosses the river Amstel. The name of the bridge (skinny or meagre) has nothing to do with the story told to tourists which is also told in the James Bond story ‘Diamonds are forever’, both stories rest on fantasy. However, it is a historical fact that some scenes of this movie were filmed on and with this bridge.

Therefore also the music: Diamonds are forever by Shirley Bassey. www.youtube.com/watch?v=doAy4Ivcidg
