Luang Prabang

Luang Prabang
This is how Luang Prabang appeared in mid-1974 during an uneasy truce between the Pathet Lao and Royalist forces as viewed from the hilltop temple overlook at Wat Chom Si. I was a rare tourist in this beautiful city at this period of time.

Shot with a Yashica ELECTRO 35CC, the negative was scanned with an HP Scanjet G4050 and digitally rendered in Photoshop.

Cool shot. That was still a seriously screwed up region then.

Shortly after I left the Pathet Lao took over the country (likely not anything to do with me).
