This is NOT my main photo this morning - please see the previous image, of a male Green Honeycreeper.
As well as being attractive, this plant also attracts Hummingbirds. There are three major varieties grown for their ornamental value in Trinidad and Tobago. The most common and vigorous is this purple one, which grows to approximately six feet or so. Or is it Valerianoides Jamaicensis?
