My Christmas present to my daughter : )
White against blue
So beautiful
On the way to pure whiteness
The challenge of photographing Snowy Owls
Touched by the sun
Making sure we go the right way
On a cold and windy day
Snowy Owl and pellet
Snowy Owl with mountain bokeh
A different pose
Beware!
So far away, but better than nothing
The only one
On a bitterly cold, hoar frosty day
High wire act
One of yesterday's Snowy Owls
Snowy Owl - just close enough

Continuing the hunt
Better than nothing - this is NOT my main photo!
Snowy Owl along the fenceline
Always glad to see a Snowy
A most welcome find
Snowy Owl number 5
Two male Snowy Owls in the same field
You never know where you'll see a Snowy Owl
Some white patches have eyes : )
Is it a Snowy? ... no, it isn't ... yes, it is!
Just for my records
A beautiful setting
Always a thrill
The long and the short of it : )
Snowy Owl
Worthy of another look
Avian perfection
A reward for facing my fears : )
In your dreams
With a wink and a smile
Yesterday's treat : )
One of 12 - and a wooden pole for a change : )
Beauty on the power pole
Not one wire, but two ... sigh
Beautiful, but blurry
Curiosity from up high
Always a happy sight
Such a treat
Got my eyes on you
Afternoon nap
Take-off
A welcome visitor
Sunlit, distant beauty
Breathtaking beauty
What a treat : )
Snowy Owl
Growing up
White on blue
Curiosity
He made our day!

The day before Christmas
Another 48x zoom plus heavily cropped image, but thought I'd better get it added to my Sets before spring/summer really do arrive. After fresh snow two or three days ago, today has started off sunny and beautiful.
This winter, I had very little luck with close Snowy Owls. Almost every single one was little more than a tiny, white dot in a field. Wonderful to see, but not too much use for photos, ha. This Snowy was seen SE of Calgary on 24 December 2013.
