48/365: "Gratitude is the sign of noble souls." ~ Aesop
Today's pick is the Second Flower of Spring! Last year I discovered this flower the day after I found the first, so I wasn't surprised when I fount this tiny beauty gleaming in the afternoon sun! This one is about 1/4" in diameter, twice as large as the day-before-yesterday's flower! :D
I have 2 more picks for today and a picture of last year's version of the 2nd Flower of Spring. They are below and are clickable!
Aesop (c. 620–564 BC) was an Ancient Greek fabulist or story teller credited with a number of fables now collectively known as Aesop's Fables. Although his existence remains uncertain and (if they ever existed) no writings by him survive, numerous tales credited to him were gathered across the centuries and in many languages in a storytelling tradition that continues to this day. Many of the tales are characterized by animals and inanimate objects that speak, solve problems, and generally have human characteristics.Wikipedia: Aesop
