Father & Son and Words About Wisdom [Explore]
Once I discovered that our forest is full of little enchanted mushroom people, I am very quiet and careful when I visit, and sometimes I'll see them gliding around the floor like little magical sprites.
On this day I peered around a tree and found these two staring out into the trees. I listened and could just hear that it was a father and son having a conversation.
"Father, how do you get wisdom?" asked the young mushroom as he stood close and wondered about the world.
"My son, wisdom is experience that you gather over the course of your life...but here are some words to think about from a truly wise old man:
There are three methods to gaining wisdom.
The first is reflection, which is the highest.
The second is limitation, which is the easiest.
The third is experience, which is the bitterest. ~ Confucius
The son leaned on his father's shoulder and sighed, thinking about the words. I crept away then to leave them alone, and smiled to myself. There is much to be learned from these mushrooms! :)
Thanks to all of you who have visited and have left comments and favorites! I try to go to all of your pages within a day or two (when I'm not buried in work) and is a highlight for me to see your beautiful photography! :)
