Beach in the Grand Canyon
Arizona, USA. Across from the Tanner Trail. Here the canyon is much wider because the river is cutting thru the softer Precambrian sedimentary rocks.

When I worked for the US Geological Survey office in Flagstaff, Arizona during the late 70s, I had the privilege of participating in three research trips down the Colorado thru the Grand Canyon, from Lee's Ferry to Diamond Creek. The Canyon has a very different appearance from the river level! ;) I have several albums from those trips.
