Three Generations in Front of the Fence?

Three Generations in Front of the Fence?
Brought forward for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of : IN DISGUISE OR IN COSTUME and reposted for HHF!
It appears that these ladies are wearing Japanese kimonos. I remember hearing that there was a craze for Japanese "things" in the early twentieth century.
This is the second batch of glass plate negatives that I purchased.
I got them in Brattleboro, Vermont.
I bought five of them - very cheap. The dealer has written "Dummerston, VT" on all of them.
HFF, everyone!

Nouchetdu38, Fred Fouarge, A Buildings Fan, Marco F. Delminho and 9 other people have particularly liked this photo

My guess is that they're too close in age to be 3 generations, but I could be wrong. I do love their Japanese-style dress, and it appears that their hair was Mikado-style as well! (Cute doggie!)

Such a lovely photo! The women and their clothing are intriguing enough, but the dog adds a playful element to it!

Thanks, everyone!
Alan, the dog is also in the glass plate neg. of the little girl with the pram. Cute little thing!
Ellie, I think if you see the other pics that the younger woman on the right is in, it is possible that she's (say) 26, her mom behind her is 46 and the grandmother is sitting on the left and is about 66.
What do you think?

HFF Deborah. Can be nice to dress up but having to hold an facial expression for a long exposure sort of degrades the effect. Like the paling fence.

It would be nice to know more about these 3 graces... but I guess it would be a hard quest.

The costumes are beautiful Deborah. They do look as if they might be close relatives and I love the little half smile on the youngest girl's face. Even then I think the happiest one to be pictured is the dog!! A great find and I am amazed at the clarity.
