Curious Mantis

Macro Mondays: The subject can be anything you like. Something you’ve photographed before, a favourite challenge perhaps, or something you’d like to do, but it must be black and white. The macro must be of no more than 3 inches / 7.62 cm

A juvenile praying mantis looking at me from the banister leading up to our enclosed porch. It followed my every move (it must have been hungry, lol)! Please view enlarged on black for best detail.

I will try again to comment the last time the computer decided to have a rest !! I'm not a huge fan go B&W but for this shot I think it works much better than colour it shows the grain of the wood better and the amazing insect
