HMS Alliance Galley - 3 April 2014

If you have not been on a submarine, it is worth a visit to appreciate just how cramped the conditions are or, at least, were on older vessels such as HMS Alliance. For the canned sailors there was little alternative to the canned food which was much in evidence in the galley.

Alliance reopened today after a substantial refurbishment which included the dressing of the interior to represent operational conditions. This is one of a short series of shots from inside.
