Loaded and Flooded - 3 April 2014

The long and worthwhile refurbishment of HMS Alliance at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport is complete and today was the day of the official reopening The boat looked fine in some hazy but bright Spring light.

The interior has received plenty of attention and has been dressed to show what it would have been like in service. A freeflow entrance system will now operate during busy periods with the museum's excellent guides taking visitors through at quieter times.

These are the forward torpedo tubes.
