In jener strasse hatte ich sogar mal gewohnt. Früher hiessen die beiden dörfer tatsächlich Teutschneureut (von den Teutschen gegründet) und Welschneureut (von Hugenotten und Waldensern gegründet), die sich dann später zu Neureut zusammengeschlossen haben und die grösste badische landgemeinde waren. Seit 1975 ist Neureut der nördlichste vorort von Karlsruhe. Interessant, gell? ;-))
Im Neureuter dialekt (der schon richtung kurpfalz geht und nicht mehr so ganz brigandisch ist), heisst der vorort dann Neerett ;-) Soviel zu den eu.

Aber auf hochteutsch halt Happy Teutschneureut! Tankeschön ;-))
