Monument Valley Highway

Monument Valley Highway
A pretty famous stretch of road. There were many folks pulled over to the side to take photos. Some of the more adventuresome were lying on their backs on the center line of the highway, trying to get dramatic perspective.

Anyway, I had to get some pictures as I drove this stretch of road, too.

I had to WAIT until the road was more clear, before taking this photo. Otherwise, it is a very busy place, what with all the tourists (like me) stopping to take photos!

If I'm not completely wrong, this is the place where Forrest Gump (movie) turned around on his run, leaving his "disciples" dismayed. :)

This is a very popular photo spot. I was lucky to get away from the many other groups taking photos, and get this shot. Otherwise, the photo would have been titled: "crowd taking selfies with Monument Valley in background".

I was here in the early 90's. At that time Forrest Gump did not yet exist and it looked exactly like here: completely empty.
