Tschaikowsky’s “D Major String Quartet,” is the foundation of the pop hit "On The Isle Of May". Written in 1888 it is covered here in an edited form by Jack Lythaby and his brass quartet.

Connee Boswell of the successful Boswell Sisters had success with "On The Isle Of May" (Andre Kostelanetz - Mack David) when the song peaked at number three in 1940.
