Wedding Bells

Claude Boone wrote "Wedding Bells' and saw it recorded first by radio personality Bill Carlisle in 1947. It's rumoured that Claude was an alcoholic and sold the tune for twenty-five dollars.

Hank Williams referred to "Wedding Bells" as the prettiest song he'd ever heard. Recorded with Don Davis, Dale Potter, Jack Shook, Zeb Turner and Velma Williams in Nashville as the follow-up to "Lovesick Blues", the session occurred after Hank's first airplane flight. Hank telegrammed producer Fred Rose "Flight 58 will arrive at 5:45. I hope." This peaked at number two on the Country chart and was on the album "Sing Me A Blue Song".
