Two Budweisers, Please -- HFF !!

Two Budweisers, Please -- HFF !!
For a really "Happy Friday" (with or without fences), try Allagash White draft, brewed in Portland Maine.

The umbrellas were probably supplied by the Budweiser salesman as free advertising. But Sam Adams Lager is a regional New England choice. And there are plenty of good Maine small breweries.

"seise", David G Johnson, Marco F. Delminho, Roger (Grisly) and 7 other people have particularly liked this photo

I like your endorsement of the others.

I was in Prague in 2014 and we could see a large sign on a brewery: Budweiser Budvar. I would not be convinced it was different than what was available stateside. I said I didn't go all the way there to eat at McDonald's and drink Budweiser...step aside...I want a beer with a goat picture on it!

Nice sturdy umbrellas. Probably good quality and not cheap...nice for the establishment to not have to invest in them.

That's all my father-in-law will drink. He brings his own...won't drink craft beer. If he leaves one behind, we use them as cold packs...for years. A guest drank a 7-year-old one we forgot was in the refrigerator. We kept the secret.

I'm a runt and an old one...I don't drink much, so I can afford to be a beer snob :O).

I guess I have beer in my veins ... because my grandfather was a Master Brewmaster (see www.ipernity.com/doc/2254408/47757574) and founder of a brewery that eventually went out-of-business under the weight of the mega-brewery crush of the late-70's. I wonder what happened to the (then) state-of-the-art brewery gear when the stockholders had the brewhouse demolished. The label and recipe was sold to Iron City/Pittsburgh Brewing Co. but it simply is not the same.

Budweiser - for me from Bavaria not the first choice, but the umbrellas give a good color contrast! ;-D

Hah, from Bavaria: so Budweiser would probably be the last choice (or maybe, no choice). I don't drink that stuff at all, even sitting under those umbrellas. Instead there are so many local breweries that are better/palatable/satisfying.

Yes, Sam Adams Brewery in Boston brews one called "Noble Pils", and New England/Maine microbreweries most all seem to have a pilsner in their product line. My grandfather's (www.ipernity.com/doc/2254408/47757574) brewery mostly brewed a lager.
