Lighthouse? Can't Get There From Here
Down this stairway ... Head Harbor Lightstation (AKA East Quoddy Lighthouse) is on an island off the far end of a peninsula at the extreme north end of Campobello Island New Brunswick, and is accessible only at low tide by hiking across a sandspit. (Hmm, or by boat.) High/low tide variations here are in the range of 7-8 meters. Careless hikers have been marooned at the lighthouse for half a day (and night!) waiting for the next low tide.
