The older the ice is, the more blue it is. The weight of the glacier presses the air out. (Oh, but you probably knew that, because of the alpine glaciers in Switzerland ... and, are they melting away??)

Yes, that's true. But in Switzerland you seldom see glaciers in combination with water. And if, then it's hard to get there.
