Caernarfon castle - Wales - UK.

'Caernarfon Castle' is recognised around the world as one of the greatest buildings of the Middle Ages and work probably began in May 1283. This fortress-palace on the banks of the 'River Seiont' is grouped with Edward I’s other castles at Conwy, Beaumaris and Harlech.. But for sheer scale and architectural drama Caernarfon stands alone. In 1911, the future Edward VIII was invested at Caernarfon Castle, and Prince Charles was invested there in 1969. This gigantic building project eventually took 47 years and cost a staggering £25,000.

A view across the lake 'Llyn Dinas' towards the distant peak of 'Moel Hebog' at 783 metres - a mountain in Snowdonia, north Wales which dominates the view west from the village of Beddgelert. It gives name to a whole range of peaks in the north-western corner of Snowdonia, which include the Nantlle Ridge and Mynydd Mawr.

Brodsworth Hall, near Brodsworth, 5 miles (8.0 km) north-west of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, is one of the most complete surviving examples of a Victorian country house in England. It is virtually unchanged since the 1860s. It was designed in the Italianate style by the obscure London architect, Philip Wilkinson, then 26 years old. He was commissioned by Charles Sabine Augustus Thellusson, who inherited the estate in 1859, but the original estate was constructed in 1791.

A local landmark near Chesterfield UK. is this 55ft tall gritstone chimney. The site had furnaces for smelting metals and complex flue systems - long disappeared - but still traceable. The site is a scheduled ancient monument and the chimney believed to be the oldest industrial chimney in the UK circa 1770.
