I know exactly where you were when you took this. A spot I have stood on many times before!
The pointed mountain on the right is Cnicht, a very obvious landmark, and a great climb. (Done it many times)
The correct pronunciation is "Porthmadog". The old days the English 'Portmadoc' was used, but not any more.
