An afternoon stroll takes us to the most pleasantly named 'Robin brook' which crosses the road here on 'Sloade lane' at the village of 'Ford' - nearby is 'Ridgeway' - south of Sheffield - UK,. Have a fine 'Happy fence Friday' and 'Good wishes' to all.... from... > David J'.

Our picnic bench ( my wife carries it ) ..deep into 'Linacre woods' where we had just enjoyed an endurance enriching snack - a delicious cold roast half sheep - with salad... we were hungry ! Keep well everyone and Have a ''Happy fence Friday'' ... from David J'.. UK.

A stroll along the Chesterfield canal - and closing in on the old town itself - showing the renowned 'Crooked Spire' of 'St.Mary and all Saints'. It is thought that the twist was caused by the sun over many years, heating up the tower's timber frame and lead cladding. The spire is both twisted and leaning 2.9 metres from it's true centre.. A small insignificant bridge crossing a stream.. but apparently constructed by P.O.Ws during the war 1945... I had heard of the bridge but came across it purely by chance.. down a tight footpath through woodland.. close to Ridgeway - South Sheffield.
