A ''HFF'' to everyone..... from Dj......Chesterfield canal side walk.
A stroll along the Chesterfield canal - and closing in on the old town itself - showing the renowned 'Crooked Spire' of 'St.Mary and all Saints'. It is thought that the twist was caused by the sun over many years, heating up the tower's timber frame and lead cladding. The spire is both twisted and leaning 2.9 metres from it's true centre..

Gotcha'.. thanks Sarah'... it is a very pleasant route with ongoing canal restoration and boat rides too.... // No worries at all over missing visits.. it is very tricky to keep smack on up to date..with everyone.. // Do keep well yourself - and 'Good wishes' too - from > David J.. UK.
