Fuzzy ducklings

Fuzzy ducklings
They have names, which I don't remember. My grandson and his girlfriend are raising them because the mother duck was chasing them around instead of mothering.

Smiley Derleth, Edward Bowthorpe, Rosalyn Hilborne, Jean Paul Capdeville and 7 other people have particularly liked this photo

There were two more and they all had names. Only one had black markings. Travis knew all their names.

Thank you, raingirl!

Amicalement. Jean Paul

Haha - yes, they would be on your table instead of on the pond! Duck and goose is not eaten very much here, only if a member of the family goes hunting. I would have no idea how to cook a duck. I had goose once, but did not like the greasy taste! I think pheasant is my favorite bird to eat, but have only eaten that once.

Best wishes from your friend, Diane.

Diane, are you getting the extreme heat we have heard about here? I hope the ducklingds haven't been roasted.

Yes! the heat waves keep coming. Temps are down to the high 90s (34-37c) now, but another triple-digit wave is coming soon. It's relentless.

I think their names should be "Quackers" and "Cheese".
