In answer to Peggy's and Keith's question about the blue hydrant:
turbofuture.com/misc/The-Colors-Of-Fire-Hydrants-What-Is-The-Meaning-Of-Fire-Hydrant-Colors Blue is Class AA, the highest capacity: 1500 GPM (gal per min).

Love this POV -- any reason the hydrant is that color ?

Lovely light and shadows in this shot Diane. I really like the striped awnings and the shape of the old lamp-posts. An unusually coloured fire hydrant too?

Peggy noticed that, too. Don't know why, unless...hey, just looked it up and had NO idea! Color has to do with the flow strength of the particular hydrant. turbofuture.com/misc/The-Colors-Of-Fire-Hydrants-What-Is-The-Meaning-Of-Fire-Hydrant-Colors The first sentence spells out the problem with so many recommended standards in the USA.

Interesting article. When I was a kid, there was a contest in our town to paint the fire hydrants in cute ways: animals, people, polka dots, etc.

Fun! I've seen a few like that, they're always jolly. ;-)
Thank you, Ronald!

Bonjour Diane

Bien amicalement. Jean Paul

I am so glad you like it, Jean Paul! I love this music very much and have listened to (and read about) a lot of Blues music. Thank you so much for your nice story about the Rosette hillsides and vin de Rosette! It made me smile!
