Is this some kind of call for kelp?

It confirms my theory that every time you need kelp, instead help turns up. Oh well ...

Good thing it does. I need help more than I need kelp! Thank you once again for your wisdom, Andy.

Laminaria is a genus of 31 species of brown algae commonly called "kelp"... admitting my ignorance about kelp and not only, immediately attracted by this image, I've just looked up in wiki... and filled somehow this cultural gap!!!!:-)
Feeling a little better, I can go back and silentily, at last!!, admire YOUR OWN KELP!!:-))Ciao Diane.

I've never heard of that use - or any use - for kelp. Interesting!

HAhaha! Well, we have both learned something new. Kelp for you and Laminaria for me! When I first saw the dried kelp I thought of beef jerky:

WOW!!!
the old Quechua "Charcui" has become beef jerky: food without carbohydrates , sugars, fats ..only high value proteins which is likely the best food to restore a healthy and youthful tone to our muscle mass..from Monday I'll give up my mediterranean diet and order a pack of 12 Wild west Beef Jerky Original 25, just for a taste.. I'm not kidding ,am I? Absolutely not!! at the age of 70 my secret wish is to become like Melania! Melania who? Melania T, of course!!
Lolll at myself!!
Thank you so much Diane for your specially brilliant sense of humour I love so much.

Ooooh, Bea, you don't want to have that blank, frozen face, do you? I think you need more than beef jerky to accomplish that, my dear.

It was fun for me to read about the history of jerky, too - both the food and the word. OK, we can have a contest only for 70-year-olds: eat beef jerky for a month and find out who has regained muscle mass. Lol! Greazie mille, my friend!
