But, do we italian merit this paradise ?
Are we taking care of it, or rather we are doing the best in order to destroy it ?
Often, it seems that foreigners love Italy deeply than Italian themselves ....
The splendors are endless ..... ethics and civilization not !!

It's how I really feel, Fabio. We all see other countries/cultures in a different light from those who live in it (right now, my own isn't so appealing to anyone!). The jaw-dropping ancient treasures, the art I studied in Art History and never thought I would see, the warm and interesting people, even the sound of the language...and Italian style, baby! I'll never forget any of it. I'd love to go back, but that is highly unlikely!

Of course, we all feel that our own surroundings are ordinary or even boring. I'll still have the beauty of Italy in my mind, even though I will probably never go again. It was the trip of my dreams! I think about Italy more than you can imagine.

Ethics? Ha! Very few countries shine in this area, Fabio!

The book cover on its own is already tempting- that rich red is splendid!

I tried to make it my favorite color: Pompeii red! Since I first saw a photo of frescoes in Pompeii many years ago, I have loved that color. Danke!
