Basalt columns with wires (Edit: Sandstone, not basalt)

Basalt columns with wires (Edit: Sandstone, not basalt)
I'll replace this with better photo of the columns when I get around to it.

Sylvain Wiart, Beatrice Degan(MARS), , John FitzGerald and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

A regular geological party, aren't they? These are located where I can't pull over anywhere for a photo without the wires. There must be some in another location I don't know about. Thanks, Keith!

Basalt columns never cease to fascinate me-they will still be there when the wires are gone:-)

Oh yes, they will! This wavy type seems to be less common than straight ones, but not sure about that. Thanks, Gudrun!

So do I, Tanja. I hope to find a better location where I can get a photo without the wires! Vielen Dank!

But the wires here are , in my opinion of course, so amazingly suitable, to 'glorifly' the splendid texture of the basalt structures!!
All the best to you!Bea

Well, that is a good way to see it! I looked on Google Earth and saw that there are a lot of these showing on top of the cliff. I want to see how they look from the top! Thank you, Bea, you are always write very interesting comments.
